BcA. František Špidlen (*1996)

Narodil se 7. 7. 1996 v Praze. Už od dětství se věnoval množství různých výtvarných činností za účelem přípravy na umělecké školy. V šesti letech se začal učit hře na housle. V 15 letech nastoupil na Střední umělecko-průmyslovou školu na Žižkově v Praze, obor umělecké řezbářství. Tu ale nedokončil a místo řezby složil maturitu z grafického designu na Střední škole Michael.

Následně po maturitě byl František přijat na houlařskou školu do Velké Británie ve městě Newark - Newark School of Violin Making, která se těší všeobecnému respektu mezi světovými houslaři, ale i odbornou veřejností. Po třech letech studia zde získal František titul bakaláře umění.

Ve 24 letech se František vrací do pražské dílny a zde se věnuje stavbě smyčcových nástrojů pod vedením svého otce Jana Špidlena. Jak je v rodině zvykem, mimo povolání se František věnuje adrenalinovým sportům, nejčastěji snowboardingu a kite-surfingu.

František was born on 7th of July 1996 in Prague. In his youth he was invested in various creative activities in order to be accepted to one of the artistic high schools. When 6 years old, he begun to learn violin playing. At 15 years of age he got accepted to the High school of arts and crafts, the wood carving branch. However, he left the school before finishing. He graduated from graphical design at the High school Michael.

After the high school graduation František moved to the United Kingdom for 3 years to study at Newark School of Violin making, worldwide renowned school, respected among most violin makers. He ended his education with bachelors degree of arts.

At 24 years František returned to the Pragues workshop to build string instruments under the guidence of his father, Jan Špidlen.

As it is common in the family, František is aside from his profession interested in adrenaline sports. Mainly snowboarding and kite-surfing.
